Artists working hard on a Land Art Workshop in the Community Garden

Developing Arts & Heritage

The Boundary Way project is continuing to develop arts and heritage activities that sustain and support the site and its users.

In 2018 Boundary Way collaborated with the National Processions 2018 project, marking 100 years since some women gained the right to vote. We hosted a banner making workshop with artist Ann Marie Lagram and the resulting banner was used in one of the National Processions that took place in Cardiff.

Throughout the last few years we have had a number of successful Open Days and Exhibitions, including a Magnifying Mushrooms Celebratory Exhibition and Open Day, our second ‘Sense of Place’ art exhibition, an Heritage Open Day, a Photography Open Day and a Sharing Nature Open Day. Alongside these events we have been working hard to continue our research of the natural heritage of the site and explore stories around nostalgia and gardening.

In Winter 2018 our very first live theatre performance took shape in the form of ‘Winter Tales’ by Regional Voice Theatre, and was a fantastic evening of storytelling in the polytunnel.
