On Saturday 23rd June (this Saturday!) Boundary Way will play host to an exciting Printmaking workshop with RBSA artist Linda Nevill for participants of all artistic abilities and ages. We know it is going to be a really fun day of natural inspiration and art making so read on to find out more…
Linda Nevill is a local printmaker, who has travelled across the world creating artwork and has a passion landscape and plants, light and colour. Linda will be running her workshop from 10:30- 3:00pm on Saturday. Over the duration of the day visitors will be able to learn from Linda and create their own landscape inspired prints, inspired by the lush surroundings of the Community Garden.
The printing will include lino, stencil and found object printing, and visitors will have an opportunity to explore a multitude of interesting and inspiring techniques. We love the idea of printing with found objects and creating prints that are directly connected to the allotment. There are so many incredible shapes and textures to be found in the great outdoors and we can’t wait to see what everyone finds.
Similarly, it will be lovely to see some of the features of Boundary Way and the surrounding landscape immortalized in colourful lino and stencil prints and if the weather is clear visitors may even get to take inspiration from the Wrekin, which can be seen from the Community Garden.
